Information
These are brief instructions
for getting around in the course website. If you have more detailed
technical questions regarding accessing the course materials, contact
our Web Administrator.
Coursework
Under each section, there are
lesson files which contain links to download the lectures, a quiz, and
announcements. The lesson files are made available section by section.
By clicking on a given section, you will be prompted for the password.
Entering the correct password will allow access to the course files
displayed for that section. Also, you will be allowed access to prior
sections.

Section
Passwords
Each section requires a
password to enter. Passwords are divulged following successful
completion of the prior section's quiz.

Software
 The
lectures are given as Microsoft PowerPoint presentation files. You must
have Microsoft PowerPoint software or you can download the free 2003
PowerPoint viewer.

to download the free PowerPoint viewer.
View
PowerPoint files on the course website by copying them to your
hard drive and then view the files using the PowerPoint program or the
free PowerPoint03 viewer.
To download the PowerPoint lesson file using the Explorer web
browser, right-click on the PowerPoint file you want, then select from
pull down menu "Copy to Folder...…" . We recommend
that you view the presentations under "Slide" view. This view
takes up the entire computer screen and enables animations.

Quizzes
The course is available on a
pass ( 70% or higher), no pass (69% or lower) grading scale. Student
scores are determined through performance on three quizzes, one for each
section. Each quiz consists of ten multiple-choice questions.
After completing a quiz, you must click on the "Score Your
Quiz" button and then the "Submit Your Quiz" button. This
will send your quiz to the course instructors for their review and allow
you to see your quiz score.
You must score at least a 70% to be given the
password to continue on to the next section. Although
you can take the quiz as many times as you like, only your first
successful score will be counted toward your final grade.
